Summer Fun Starts with the Boulder Creek Festival® over Memorial Day Weekend

Enjoy three days of free family fun, live music, food, and entertainment for the 36th annual Boulder community event

BOULDER, Colo. (March 17, 2025) - The City of Boulder and Team Player Productions (TPP) have announced the return of Boulder Creek Festival® May 23-26, 2025. The 36th annual community event welcomed more than 150,000 attendees last year and is back for a three-day celebration over Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy free live music including a Friday evening kickoff concert with Steely Dead on May 23 and Magic Beans on May 24. Throughout the weekend there will be 30+ bands, a farmers market-style shopping experience with over 200 artisans and local businesses, delicious eats from 30+ food trucks and vendors, Creekside Beer Fest, family-friendly activities, and more to be announced.

“The Boulder Creek Festival is a cherished tradition, created by the community, for the community,” says City of Boulder Events Manager Justin Greenstein. “We look forward to its return each year as the unofficial kickoff to summer fun here in Boulder!”

Enjoy the following activities at Boulder Creek Festival:

  • Music headliners and musical acts: Steely Dead kicks off weekend performances at the Bandshell stage, along with 30+ artists ranging from indie rock and folk to bluegrass and reggae. Other headliners include Magic Beans on Saturday and Boulder Sound Machine on Monday. The full music lineup can be found online

  • Creekside for Kids: Enjoy concerts for kids of all ages by Jeff & Paige, interactive performances, games, attractions, and much more

  • Creekside Beer Fest: More than 20 breweries including Avery Brewing Co, Upslope Brewery, and Ratio Beerworks, will be pouring their best suds at this all-inclusive tasting May 24 and 25. Tickets for the beer fest will launch in April

  • Local eats: From vegan and vegetarian to international cuisine and carnival favorites, more than 20 tasty food trucks and vendors will be serving up delectable eats

  • Shopping: Shop from more than 200 vendors at BCF’s farmers-market-style festival featuring local art, apparel, ceramics, home goods, and more

  • Street Wise Art Battle: Located at the Boulder Creek Festival Art Zone, this partnership with Street Wise Arts includes 10 artists that have been hand-selected to participate in an epic painting competition on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Their works of art will be displayed in Boulder throughout the year. There will be an auction for these pieces that the public can bid on with proceeds benefiting Street Wise Arts. Stop by and vote for your favorite artist and watch them work on their masterpieces. The first-place winner will receive a cash prize

The Boulder Creek Festival takes place along the Boulder Creek from 9th Street to 14th Street between Canyon Boulevard and Arapahoe Avenue. Artist, volunteer, sponsor and vendor opportunities are still available through the website
