The week-long cultural food week is back with an evolved mission and nonprofit partner that elevates AANHPI communities

DENVER (Jan. 13, 2025)— Save the date! Mile High Asian Food Week (MHAFW) returns on April 27-May 3, 2025 with an evolved mission and a new home for the reimagined cultural food week.

The week-long celebration allows foodies to experience different cuisines and receive insider perks such as special discounts, secret menu items, and specialty menus at participating Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI)-owned businesses. New to MHAFW in 2025 is that AANHPI chefs and owners can showcase any cuisine of their choosing.

“We’ve noticed important conversations being had about culture and identity and how that can translate to food,” says MHAFW Founder Joanne Liu. “As the organizing team got together to discuss the future of MHAFW, we realized that AANHPI chefs have a wide range of culinary experiences that can be an amalgamation of influences, so we wanted to make sure that the food week is reflective of those experiences.”

In addition to the expanded mission, MHAFW is now an entity under the umbrella of Colorado Asian Culture & Education Network (CACEN). A portion of MHAFW funding will support the 501c3 organization’s mission to elevate AANHPI communities and address inequities through cultural exchange and education, including the development of the Social Fabric Hub, a new Asian American community center in Englewood that will open in May 2025.

"With Mile High Asian Food Week joining CACEN, we’re excited to combine resources that will further amplify businesses and take the food week to new heights. We will also make a greater impact for the AANHPI community with MHAFW supporting CACEN's efforts,” says Annie Guo VanDan, MHAFW Director of Finance and CACEN Executive Director.

Mile High Asian Food Week will take place April 27-May 3, 2025 to kick off AANHPI Heritage Month in May. The list of participating businesses and restaurants for MHAFW will be announced at a later time.

Vendor registration for the 2025 Mile High Asian Food Week will open January 19. Please visit the website to sign up.
