What to Eat and Drink While Watching Wes Anderson Movies During COVID-19
There is no question that Wes Anderson movies have a distinct visual style making him one of the great auteurs of contemporary film. Because of this, we think it’s high time to indulge in his films while you stay at home. Bottle Rocket
Three misfit buddies aspire to become big-time thieves and join a con man on a ridiculous mission. Not only is this Wes Anderson’s first film but you’ll catch brothers Luke and Owen Wilson (the latter co-wrote the screenplay) acting together.

Rushmore
Just your typical comedy where a high school student befriends a man old enough to be his father and the two of them fall for an elementary school teacher. NBD. You’ll want to munch on a Cricket Burger and one of their boozy shakes while witnessing Jason Schwartznan’s career blossom.

The Darjeeling Limited
Hop onto The Darjeeling Limited! This film features three estranged brothers who take a train voyage through India where hilarity and heartbreak ensues. The movie is so visually stunning, you’ll catch a whiff of the film’s exotic spices.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Moonrise Kingdom
This coming-of-age Wes Anderson film will have you harkening back to the good old days of summer camps, penpals and youth crushes. You’ll want to imbibe on a fun beer from WeldWerks’ Froot Camp series (think alcoholic fruit smoothie) as you follow Sam and Suzy’s adventures.

The Grand Budapest Hotel
According to The Wall Street Journal, Boy with Apple, a painting at the center of this film was inspired by Flemish painters. Thus, it’s only fitting that you pair the movie with one of Purpose Brewing & Cellar’s sour beers while watching M. Gustave, played by the magnificent Ralph Fiennes, and his lobby boy Zero embark on an adventure to find said painting.
What to order: a Smoeltrekker (which means pulling a funny face in Flemish) sour from Purpose Brewing & Cellars and Crab Mac & Cheese from Little on Mountain in Fort Collins.
Isle of Dogs
In this dystopian animation based in Japan, a pack of banished dogs on an abandoned island help a boy find his own lost dog. Stacked with an all-star cast including Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton and much more, order some sushi and sake to round out your movie experience.
